Choir Announcement

The elementary choir concert is coming up soon — Monday, May 2! Please drop off your student at the high school auditorium at 5:50 PM so that we will have time to run through and rehearse the songs with all the elementary choirs and our pianist Mr. Mertens. After we rehearse, the students will have time for a bathroom/water break. The concert will then start at 7 PM and should end around 7:45 PM.

During the time between the 5:50 PM drop off and the 7 PM start, you are welcome to go out and then come back or wait inside the high school.

Students can wear their choir shirt with nice pants/skirt; or a solid dark shirt with nice pants/skirt.

I will be sending home some questions related to our concert theme "When Nature Sings" for the students to answer. We hope to include some student answers in the program. Attached is the worksheet.

Math Supplement Opportunities

In an effort to provide awareness of the learning journey your student is on relative to some of the most important mathematical concepts, our math team is sharing some helpful visual learning progressions. These progressions represent how initial exposures to mathematics are built upon through the years. These videos are meant to both clarify and support your understanding as parents of how your student's thinking is advancing mathematically. If you find a particular progression video of interest, know that the goal is to highlight the building blocks that create a mathematician in every student. There is no homework or anything extra we are asking of you as parents, just to simply share the road teachers are traveling with your students on their way to a deep understanding of these concepts. Enjoy!
